The Heart Behind Jess’ Way
Hi, I’m Jess, the owner and founder of Jess’ Way Nanny Agency & Babysitting Services.
My journey in childcare started long before Jess’ Way. I’ve spent more than 16 years working with children, beginning in summer camps, moving into daycare, and eventually becoming a nanny.
Once I became a nanny, I knew I had found something I truly loved.
MY JOURNEY TO JESS’ WAY
Over the years, I also worked with different nanny agencies. I appreciated what they did and learned a lot from seeing how agencies operated, but being on the nanny side also helped me recognize what I wanted to do differently.
I wanted to create an agency where families feel heard, caregivers feel valued, and the focus isn’t simply filling an open position.
About 10 years ago, my life changed when I became the primary caregiver for my nephew.
Taking on that responsibility made me look at my career and my time differently. I needed the flexibility to be present for him while still doing the work I loved.
That became one of the biggest reasons I decided to build Jess’ Way.
BUILDING JESS’ WAY
Once I opened the agency, the doors began to open.
Families started reaching out, nannies began joining us, and I realized that the way I naturally connected people was becoming the heart of my business.
MORE THAN A RÉSUMÉ
I often describe Jess’ Way as a dating agency—but for families and nannies.
A nanny can have an amazing résumé, years of experience, certifications, and be wonderful with children, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re the right nanny for every family.
Personalities matter.
Communication styles matter.
Parenting philosophies matter.
Schedules and expectations matter.
The way a household operates matters.
That’s why I don’t believe in simply sending a family a stack of résumés.
WE DON’T JUST MATCH RÉSUMÉS.
WE MATCH PEOPLE.
I want to understand who the family is, what their household feels like, what they truly need, and the kind of person who will naturally fit into their lives.
I also want to understand the nanny—their personality, strengths, goals, experience, and the environment where they will thrive.
A nanny may spend 40 or more hours every week inside a family’s home, caring for the people who matter most to them.
Over time, the right nanny can become much more than an employee. They can become an important and trusted part of that family’s life.
That relationship is what Jess’ Way is built around.
