We don’t just match résumés.

We match people.

NANNY COMPENSATION

Nanny rates typically range from $20–$35+ per hour, depending on the role, experience, responsibilities, schedule, number of children, and the specific needs of the family.

Compensation for each position is discussed based on the responsibilities and expectations of the role.

Jess’ Way does not take a percentage or commission from nanny wages.

Caregiver compensation is paid directly by the family according to the agreed-upon employment terms.

RESPECT FOR CAREGIVERS

Jess’ Way believes caregivers should work in environments where expectations are clear and their work is respected.

We encourage families and caregivers to communicate openly about:

• Schedule

• Compensation

• Responsibilities

• Time off

• Transportation expectations

• Household duties

• Communication preferences

• Position boundaries

• Other employment terms

Clear expectations on both sides can help create healthier and more successful working relationships.

THE APPLICATION & SCREENING PROCESS

STEP 1 — APPLY

Complete the Jess’ Way caregiver application and provide information about your experience, availability, qualifications, and the types of opportunities you are interested in.

STEP 2 — INTERVIEW WITH JESS’ WAY

Jess will review the application and speak with the caregiver to learn more about their childcare experience, background, availability, strengths, goals, and potential fit within the Jess’ Way caregiver network.

STEP 3 — REFERENCE CHECKS

Before a caregiver is presented to or interviews with a family, Jess’ Way will contact and review the caregiver’s references.

STEP 4 — MATCHING OPPORTUNITIES

When an opportunity aligns with the caregiver’s experience, availability, qualifications, and preferences, Jess’ Way may contact them with information about the position.

STEP 5 — FAMILY INTERVIEW & SELECTION

Appropriate candidates may meet or interview with the family.

The family determines whether they would like to move forward with a particular caregiver.

STEP 6 — BACKGROUND SCREENING

Once a family selects a caregiver and decides they would like to move forward, Jess’ Way will complete the required formal background screening before the placement begins.

A driving record check will only be required when the position includes responsibility for transporting children.

STEP 7 — PLACEMENT

Once the required screening is completed and the placement is approved, the family and caregiver can move forward according to the applicable placement process.

• Occasional babysitting

• Date-night care
